If there is not enough lip or tail pipe to attach to, then an adapter is required to complete the installation. Some adapters need to be welded to the stock pipe to create an attachment point. Other models have an optional bolt on adapter that is available for an extra $21.95. Also, there are some models that do not require any type of adapter. Then place the silencer onto the adapter and insert bolts through flat hanger brackets and through cross member. Follow with rubber grommets, washer, and nut. Tighten for secure hold.
